See the Fall Leaves and Night Skies at Hoshinofurusato Nature Park

Hoshinomura where Hoshinofurusato Nature Park is located has plenty of fun locations, such as campsites and parks bursting with nature, relaxing hot springs, and more.

One of the best things to do here is the Japanese custom of admiring the full moon!

The perfect time to enjoy this is during the autumn leaves period, where the moon has a distinct beauty only seen in the fall, and you may even be able to see the Moon Rabbit.

A romantic getaway at Hoshinofurusato Nature Park

Hoshinomura where Hoshinofurusato Nature Park is located has plenty of fun locations, such as campsites and parks bursting with nature, relaxing hot springs, and more.

Hoshinomura (literally means "Village of Star Field") is said to be named after its location where a lot of stars can be seen.

Thanks to this pristine location, there's an astronomical observatory, which is open to the public every day and night (except Tuesdays). Here you can enjoy the distant universe and its brightly shining stars before your eyes, even in the daytime!

Meanwhile, did you know that in Japan, there's an old custom of viewing the full moon, called "Tsukimi"? The perfect time to enjoy this is during the autumn leaves period, where the moon has a distinct beauty only seen in the fall.

So, if you come to Hoshinomura in fall, you're in the right place to do Tsukimi!

With some luck, you can clearly see the Moon Rabbit pounding mochi! (In Japan, it is said that the pattern of the moon looks like a rabbit making sticky rice.)

Don't forget about the Cha no Bunkakan, where you can enjoy the nature from an indoor location. Try tasting various tea related dishes, while enjoying the vast scenery at Hoshino, all from your window view.
