Akafuku Honten

Matcha

Dec 8, 2016

You’ll be greeted by the sweet aroma of tea when you first walk into this famous 130 year-old Akafuku store, but the real star is its Akafuku mochi rice cake, topped with a subtly sweet koshi-an (fine red bean paste). A delicacy you’ll love!

The Akafuku mochi rice cakes are made by chefs so skillful, you’ll find that each has been created with the same consistently firm texture.

Why settle for just one? You can have a set of three Akafuku mochi rice cakes with tea for 290 yen. Perfect to enjoy while lazing on the front porch of this historical building overlooking the Isuzu river after a long day of sightseeing in the area.
