Akame 48 Falls is in Nabari, Mie Prefecture and famous for its numerous waterfalls. The waterfalls can be best view from a 4 kilometres long path along the river offers a refreshing walk in the forest. All the waterfalls are beautiful but a few really stands out such as the "Akame Five Waterfalls" known as Fudo, Senju, Nunobiki, Ninai and Biwa.

Walking along the long path that winds around the waterfalls, listening to the peaceful sounds of the water, you can also experience the lush greenery, ancient forests, clear mountain streams and perhaps a chance encounter with a giant Japanese salamander, and indigenous and rare species of the area.
