Enoshima is a small islet located off the coast of Kamakura, easily reached via a bridge. It houses an observation tower, known as the Enoshima Sea Candle. On the island itself, you can find a number of eateries serving seafood bowl, etc. There are also a temple and a sea cave at the back of the islet. The most prominent landmark on the island, would be the Sea Candle, located on the top of the island. On a good day and when Fuji-san (Mt. Fuji) is not shy, you will be able to marvel at the majestic of the iconic volcano from the tower. Even if you are not fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the shy mountain, a visit close to sunset hours, will present you with postcard perfect pictures, of the sea and the setting sun, or of the city across the bridge. There is also a small flower garden below the tower where one can relax and spend their evening away.
