Ginzan Onsen

Daniel Yong

Dec 22, 2018

Always wanted to experience Ginzan Onsen in snowing condition but it was early December and snow does seem to come early. However, this year it did. I woke up to a dreamy beautiful snowing landscape of the beautiful Ginzan Onsen. As a big fan of Oshin and Spirited Away, the sight was awesome and just spectacular. I was taken aback by the beauty of this historical hotspring town buried in deep snow. There are many hotspring inns but I stayed at Notoya and that is highly recommended! The inn has a outdoor rotenburo up in the hilltop which overlooks the town. Magical!
