Gokayama Gassho village of

This UNESCO heritage site that is more well-known for its beauty in winter is also extraordinary in spring. The gassho zukuri farmhouses with the mountains as a backdrop in a beautiful day is a sight to behold. Although smaller than its neighbour, Shirakawago, it is exactly this intimacy that makes the whole experience in this village special and unforgettable.
