Ise Grand Shrine

A must visit site for Japanese as it worships the Sun Goddess. But otherwise a charming shrine with a river running through the grounds. Not many foreign visitors at this site but be prepared for the throngs of local tourist. Visit in the early morning before the crowd comes in and finish off with a walk through Okageyocho where there are plenty of local fares, especially the Akafuku.
