Kanmangafuchi Abyss

Kanmangafuchi Abyss, a gorge near central Nikko is a quiet and peaceful walking trail. Halfway through, you will see 70 Jizo statues that lined a part of the trail. The statues are also known as 'Bake Jizo' (Ghost Jizo).

Besides the trail is the beautiful gorge that was formed by the eruption from the nearby Mount Nantai. The view along the short walking trail is simply amazing.
