Kawagoe

Kawagoe still has lots of old fashioned buildings in some part of the city. Also known as Little Edo,we can still find historical things such as rickshaw drivers, Kurazukuri buildings which are said to be fireproof and the bell tower (時の鐘, Toki no Kane), a landmark and symbol of Kawagoe.

Not only can you view these historical landmarks, you can also experience it by renting a kimono at a kimono shop and explore Kawagoe in Japan's traditional dress.

Traditional sweets and toys can also be seen in many of Kawagoe's old shops and I would highly recommend the sweet potato manju, Imo Koi as well as beer brewed using sweet potato, Coedo Beer.

Overall Kawagoe is a nice escape from the bustling sounds of Tokyo and a travel back to Edo days of Japan.
