Kijo Town: immerse in nature’s abundant greenery

JNTO

In Kijo Town in Miyazaki Prefecture, you can enjoy plenty of both outdoor and indoor activities. “Kawabaru Natural Park” offers you the chance to try canoeing in the clear waters of the adjacent Omaru-gawa River, along with an indoor rock climbing facility and a permanent mountain bike course. In summer, a pool using the river’s waters is added to the fun. Cottages and camping sites are also among your choices there, and in the evening, after a day of activities, you can enjoy a BBQ and a campfire with your family and friends. You don’t even need to worry about equipment since what you need for rock climbing, mountain bike and canoeing can be rented on the spot.

After a full day of play, there are few things that can cool you down better than a good onsen hot spring. “Kijo Onsenkan Yurara” is perfect for this since its water is simple and gentle to the skin. A variety of tubs are available, so there is no doubt you’ll find one that suits your preference and allows your body and mind to truly rest.
