Koiwai Farm

Koiwai farm, in the Tohoku region of Iwate Prefecture, Honshu, is one of the biggest private farms in Japan, and far from a ‘regular’ farm. Throughout the year, you’ll find a variety of events that make Koiwai particularly attractive – for both children and the young-at-heart.

In summer, get spooked at a haunted house. In winter, you can sit in a Kamukara (snow hut) and tuck into a Japanese mutton meal called Genghis Khan, as well as visit other winter events and snow festivals.

Founded over 120 years ago, the farm is also famous for its dairy produce, so indulge in their soft serve ice-cream when you’re there. It’s made from milk freshly produced at the farm, so it’s rich and creamy!

Whatever time of year you visit, Koiwai’s many year-round events make it a fun attraction for both family and friends to have an enjoyable time!
