This shop is famous for its delicious natto (made from fermented soybeans). In fact, the natto even won an award at the National Natto Competition and was also served for breakfast at the Toyako Summit in 2008!

There is a large selection of natto displayed in the shop, priced from 100 yen to 500 yen for one pack. Nowadays, you’ll find packed natto everywhere, but the shop even sells the rare straw version that comes in interesting shapes.

You should try their specialty – natto puff cream! As its name suggests, a small amount of natto is added in the cream puff. The combination is absolutely tasty! I watched how they made it, and it’s fascinating to see how they mix the natto and cream together!

There are four flavors to try: custard, strawberry, matcha, and coffee. The matcha that I bought contained black beans natto. Some people say it’s an acquired taste. For me, there’s no bad smell of fermented beans and it goes really well with cream!
