Omijima island

Scuba diving wasn’t something I would associate with Japan, but a visit to Omijima Island completely changed my mind.

The emerald blue waters surrounding the island were crystal clear, and being generally shallow, even beginners like me had no trouble exploring the vibrant marine life that inhabits the waters.

After my dive, I took a relaxing stroll around the island. To my surprise, the scenery above water is as remarkable as the aquatic view.

Caves, sheer cliffs and towering rocks pepper the landscape, just like exhibits in a natural museum.

If you love a scenic trip that is off the beaten track, Omijima Island is definitely the place for you. (112 WORDS)
