In the resort area is also “Shosenkyu Hot Springs” whose spring water, which contains chloride, is drawn from a 10 million-year-old geological layer located 1000 meter underground. The water is rich with minerals from the dissolved ancient sea fossils and it is renowned as a “hot spring of beauty”.
