Sapporo Snow Festival

The Sapporo Snow Festival is one of the grandest events held annually at Hokkaido. It showcases eye-catching snow statues and ice sculptures at Odori Park and other sites in Sapporo. The statues are usually themed on a noteworthy event, person or landmark from the passed year. One of the statues on display this year is that of Donald Trump.

The photos are breathtaking and it reminds me of Disney's movie "Frozen". In the movie, Elsa used her magical powers by controlling snow and created an icy winter castle which she had sought solace. I am wowed by how the sculptures complemented the winter season of Sapporo, thus enhancing the city's beauty. I absolutely can't wait to visit the place and imagine myself as Elsa, and immersed in the beauty of the winter wonderland.
