Upstar Bus Cruising Party

Dec 8, 2016

Strapped for time? You don’t have to compromise on fun if you take the Tokyo Bus Cruise.

It’s a night tour on a double decker bus that travels around the main areas of Tokyo, such as Marunouchi, Roppongi, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Omotesando and Odaiba.

To be honest, I hopped onboard because a friend was holding a surprise birthday party for her fiance. As I have been living in Tokyo my whole life, I initially didn’t expect much from a sightseeing tour, but was I surprised!

Standing on the upper deck of the bus, I saw my city in a whole different light. Tokyo Bay, Odaiba’s Rainbow Bridge and the many skyscrapers of the city never looked so magnificent! I dare say that the view beats New York City’s hands down.

Remember to bring a camera along; the bus occasionally stops so you can take photos. The tour is good for groups of eight or more and there’s an all-you-can-drink menu available (7,000 yen/person). Feel free to bring your own food or play music from your devices on board.

Overall, I had a great experience and I hope you do too!
