Terms and Conditions

Japan National Tourism Organization Singapore Office (hereafter referred to as Organizer) invites you to take part in the JAPAN by Japan, “FUSUMA Peek-a-boo” (hereafter referred to as Campaign).

The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or amend the Campaign and the terms and conditions of this Campaign (“Terms and Conditions”) at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the website.


  • The Campaign is open only to residents of Singapore except for employees and immediate families of the Organizer, its affiliates, subsidiaries, suppliers, and advertising and media agencies associated with this Campaign.
  • Corporations or other entities are not eligible to participate in this Campaign.
  • The Campaign is open to all registered members of the JAPAN by Japan website, hence, participants must sign in or sign up on the website to be eligible to play.
  • Only one individual per registered email address. Multiple registered email addresses of the same individual are not allowed. If the participant is found to be fraudulent, the organizer reserves the right to remove the participant from the Campaign.

Campaign Rules

  • The Campaign is until 10 March 2019 (hereafter referred to as Campaign Period).
  • During the Campaign Period, participants must identify which image from the choices given was shown behind the Japanese sliding doors (fusuma).
  • There are 4 stages in the FUSUMA game and will be released as follows:
    1. 1.21 January 2019
    2. 2.30 January 2019
    3. 3.8 February 2019
    4. 4.22 February 2019
  • Each correct answer is equivalent to one point and the participant can do a maximum of 10 plays per day.
  • The participant only needs one correct guess each stage to qualify for an entry in the lucky draw to be held at the end of the campaign (maximum of 4 entries per participant).
  • There can only be one player for each rank. In the event of a tie, a player who is able to reach a certain rank first wins it.
  • 2 participants will be drawn to win one airfare ticket each at the end of the campaign.
  • Participants who are in the top 20 will each win a limited-edition JNTO T-shirt at the end of the campaign.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to pursue legal action against any individual believed to have undertaken fraudulent activities or other activities harmful to this Campaign, the entry process or the relevant website. Participants acknowledge and accept that there is no intention to create any legal relations between the Organizer and participants of this Campaign, which is a promotional event. Participants who will enter this Campaign hereby waive any legal rights, if any, to enforce against the Organizer, its agents or employees in relation thereto.
  • By joining the Campaign, the participant agrees in all reasonable media publicity relating to the event, including being featured on social media as determined by the sole discretion of the Organizer.
  • If for any reason this Campaign is not capable of running as planned due to computer viruses, bugs, worms (malware), trojan horses, denial of service attacks, hacking, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Organizer that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Campaign, the Organizer reserves the right, at sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Campaign.


  • 20 limited-edition JNTO t-shirts
  • 1 pax roundtrip ticket to Hiroshima, Japan (travel period June 2019 – August 2019 excluding peak period)
  • 1 pax roundtrip ticket to Hokkaido, Japan (travel period June 2019 – August 2019 excluding peak period)
  • All air tickets are subject to availability.
  • Once a winner has been drawn, the Organizer will liaise with a local travel agency to arrange the airfare ticket for the winner.
  • The winner must present verifiable identification to redeem his/her prize. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the winner who fails to comply.
  • All prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable or non-refundable by cash.
  • In the event that the selected winner is ineligible, uncontactable or does not respond within five (5) working days to a winner notification, or refuses to accept the prize, the Organizer, in sole discretion, may choose to award the prize to another eligible participant.

Use of Personal Information

  • Any collection, use, and disclosure of the participants’ data will be strictly in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy; a copy of which may be obtained from By agreeing to participate in this Campaign, participants signify that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, the Organizer’s conditions of use in the website, and the Organizer’s Privacy Policy.


  • The Organizer is not liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including, but not limited to, indirect, consequential loss including death), including costs incurred due to unforeseen circumstances as a result of, or arising out of, or in any way connected with this Campaign.
  • The Organizer is not liable for network connection expenses caused by system errors or failures in the campaign website. Participants will shoulder any fees incurred during gameplay (i.e., internet connection).
