The view changed suddenly when our bus exited Shiraito tunnel, Jozankei. Slopes filled with amber, orange, red and green leaves surrounded us. We alighted near Jozankei Bridge and strolled towards Futami Park. Bright yellow or red leave trees captured our sight. We took nothing but more photos. Few public foot baths available to soak our foot. We stopped by at Toyohira River. The water was frigid, clean and refreshing. Many Kappas can be seen in the town and in the park too

My most memorable outdoor trip was a visit to Amanohashidate. The best way to appreciate this wonder is to view the spectacular sandbar through our legs! But in getting to Kasamatsu Park, we cycled through the sandbar, which has many nature wonders to explore. On our way back, we took a ferry and were excited in feeding the seagulls. Then suddenly, a wild eagle came along and join in the fun!

Four days of awesome adventures on the powdery slopes of Tomamu in Dec 2019! Never thought I would hit the ski slopes again after >10 years, but the breathtaking scenery & quiet stillness up in the mountains were such a lure. The advanced slopes were scary, the turns at times dangerous, but the glide mid-way down were so exhilarating & liberating, it became a healing balm to daily stresses
