The cobblestone steps of the Daimon-zaka slope is a photogenic portion along the Kumano Kodo, a network of ancient pilgrimage routes in the Kansai region. Running for 600 metres, this uniquely-paved path is a combination of manageable steps and gentle inclines; at the top of the slope, you can catch a glimpse of the awe-inspiring Nachi Falls. Mt. Mitoku in Tottori Prefecture is home to Sanbutsuji Temple which comprises several buildings, including Nageire-do, nicknamed "Japan's most dangerous national treasure." Sakurai Futamigaura in Itoshima City, Fukuoka is considered one of the most beautiful sunset spots in Japan.
