Northern Tohoku

Be inspired by the beautiful north as you explore attractions in the prefectures of Akita, Aomori, and Iwate. Take a nostalgic trip to the historic castle towns of Hirosaki and Kakunodate in a rented kimono, before immersing yourself in the healing nature of the lush Oirase Gorge. Savour fresh seafood and dishes made with locally-grown apples, and end the trip with a soak in the waters of Hanamaki Onsen said to bear beautifying effects.
